Do waste tyres need to be cleaned before pyrolysis?...
(picture:Do Waste Tyres need to be Cleaned Before Pyrolysis?)
Wastes tyres don’t need to be cleaned before pyrolysis. The tire surface usually does not exist too much dirt, dust, etc., and tire pyrolysis oil is a kind of industrial fuel. It is mainly used in industrial factories, like steel plants, cement plants and other combustion use, even with a small part of dust, it will not has a big effect on the oil quality and the combustion effect; on the other hand, if the tyres are cleaned before pyrolyzed, water is inevitably on the surface of the tyres. This will increase the energy consumption during the pyrolysis process and reduce the number of used tyres to be processed. Cleaning is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive but also requires human and material resources to clean, dewater, dry, and do other series of operations, which may even outweigh the losses and affect the pyrolysis effect.
We just need to put the whole tire into the pyrolysis furnace through the auto feeder or manually, and then convert them into tire oil, carbon black, steel wire and gas. But if the raw materials you have are large truck tires or engineering tires, they need to be crushed and then put into the reactor, this will improve the pyrolysis efficiency and oil yield.
