(picture:Three Waste Tire Pyrolysis Slag Discharge Methods Explained)
When choosing a waste tire pyrolysis machine, carbon black discharge is an important factor that should not be overlooked. The discharge system affects the operating cycle, automation level, material handling, and working environment of a tire pyrolysis plant.
Depending on the design of the pyrolysis reactor, waste tire pyrolysis equipment can generally use three discharge methods: front discharge, side discharge, and rear discharge. Understanding how each system works can help you select the right pyrolysis machine for your project.
- Front Discharge System
A front discharge system places the feeding port and carbon black discharge port at the front of the pyrolysis reactor. After one complete pyrolysis cycle, the reactor needs to cool to a safe temperature before the discharge door is opened.
The main limitation is that carbon black cannot normally be discharged immediately after pyrolysis. The cooling and discharge process therefore adds time between production cycles.

- Side Discharge System
A side discharge system uses an independent discharge outlet installed on the side of the pyrolysis reactor. As the reactor rotates during operation, carbon black can be discharged through the designated outlet at specific intervals.
The carbon black can then fall directly into a sealed underground storage hopper, helping reduce dust exposure and making collection more convenient. This design provides a more enclosed carbon black discharge process and can improve material handling efficiency compared with conventional front discharge systems.
- Rear Discharge System
The rear discharge system is equipped with a screw conveyor at the rear of the pyrolysis reactor. Carbon black generated during the pyrolysis process can be transported outward through the enclosed conveyor system.
Because the carbon black can be discharged at a relatively high temperature, the reactor does not necessarily need to wait for complete cooling before material removal. The enclosed conveying process can also help reduce dust leakage and improve the cleanliness of the production area.

With experience in the design and manufacture of waste tire pyrolysis equipment, Huayin can provide different reactor and discharge configurations according to feedstock characteristics, processing capacity, and project requirements. This allows customers to select a pyrolysis plant that better matches their actual production needs. And in addition to the discharging system, other configurations of the pyrolysis machine can also be customized based on your requirements. For more information, welcome to contact us directly!
